BASIC CALCULATION WORK IN EXCEL

ADDITION:-

                     Addition in excel is very easy. If we want add some numbers in excel then follow these steps:

          Using SUM (range) Method.

       Eg: -    = Sum (range) and enter. [Range = select total numbers which we want to addition operation like J2:J10.]

          Using AutoSum Option through home ribbon.

SUBTRACTION:-

       Use following syntax:-

                           = cell address 1 – cell address 2  OR Number1 – Number2 and press enter.

Eg: -    = B4 – B3

              =105 - 85

MULTIPLICATION:-

Use following syntax:-

                           = cell address 1 * cell address 2 * cell address n and press enter.

Eg:-     = C2*C3*C4*C…..

DIVIDE:-

       Use following syntax:-

                           = cell address 1 / cell address 2 OR number and press enter.

Eg: -     = B4/5

 Note: - In excel use equal to (=) sign before any operation (addition, subtraction, multiplication and divide).

IF condition in Excel:-

If condition used for logical operation like calculate grade, result etc.

Syntax of if condition:-

       =if (condition,”true part”,”false part”) and hit enter.

Eg. : - = if (percentage column >= 36, “Pass”, “Fail”);

Nested if condition:-

       =if (condition1,”true part1”, if (condition2, “true part2”, if (condition3, “true part3”,”false part”)))

Eg:- if(percentage column >= 36, if(percentage column>= 90,”A1”,if(percentage column>=80, “A2”,if(percentage column>=70,”B1”, if(percentage column>=60, “B2”, if(percentage column>=50,”C1”,if(percentage column>=40,”C2”, if(percentage column>=36,”D”, “F”))))))))

Merge & Center Command:

                            For Merge multiple columns in single column use home ribbon merge and center command.

Border Command:-

                     Use for display border on table.

Use fill color option to fill color in selected column.

Wrap Text Command:-

                     This command is used to write multiple lines in one cell.
